In Friday, on October 28, 2022, the Protocol on cooperation between the villages of Solčava, Republic of Slovenia and Mokra Gora, Republic of Serbia was signed in Mokra Gora.
The cooperation protocol was signed by the director of the Tourism Organization of Užice, Danijela Đorđević Arsić and Darija Knez, from the Rinka Center, the public institute for tourism and sustainable development of Solčeva, in order to achieve cooperation in the field of tourism in the area of Mokra Gora, Serbia and Logarska dolina – Solčava, Slovenia and as ” The best tourist villages in the world” according to the opinion of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) for 2021. .
Within the framework of mutual cooperation, contacts and cooperation of local communities will be established and expanded in order to exchange knowledge, experiences and information in the field of tourism, nurturing culture and tradition, ecology, agriculture, protection of natural areas, organization of events, development of human resources, exchange of examples of good practice through the possibility of realizing joint projects within the framework of available EU funds.
In the mutual interest, we will contribute to the future more successful and better overall development with all positive economic and other effects in order to increase capacity and improve the provision of services in tourism at all levels and within the local communities as “The best tourist villages in the world” – World Tourism Organization of the United Nations (UNWTO) 2021. .
Those present were also addressed by the mayor of Užice, Dr. Jelena Raković Radivojević, the county mayor of Solčava, Katarina Prelesnik, the director of the Tourist Organization of Serbia, Marija Labović, the representative of the Ministry of Tourism and Youth – the assistant minister for inspection affairs, Dunja Đenić, and the President of the Association of Serbs of Slovenia, Vladimir Kokanović.
